ChippePedia. What is it?

ChippePedia is a free online encyclopedia (that anyone can help edit) about Wisconsin's Chippewa Valley. Here, you can share stories about what it's like to live here and what makes this place unique. You can also find information and history about the people, events, and places that shape the Chippewa Valley. Look under "Our Stories" headings to find personal descriptions of experiences in the Chippewa Valley.

For Teachers

ChippePedia can be used to develop writing and research skills and help students learn how to evaluate sources. To learn more about using ChippePedia in Language Arts and Social Studies classrooms, click here to download Teacher's Guide to Using ChippePedia as a Resource. For examples of student work that have already been entered into ChippePedia, click the Student Submissions link in the Menu column on the left.

Contributing to ChippePedia

ChippePedia is only as good as the material its receives and depends on users following basic guidelines. If you're interested in contributing a story, comment, or correction, please review our Content Policy and User Agreement. The User Agreement page provides ground rules for adding and editing entries in ChippePedia. It also would be good to look at our Copyright Policies and Conflict of Interests statement. Note that contributions are reviewed for adherence to our content policy and are subject to editing and expansion by other users at any time.
